Royal Palace

From the edge of the mountain range to the temple extends a single rock paved path. The path is winding and tortuous in places; narrowing to the point that you must walk with your back pressed tight to the face of the mountain at times. Once you reach the base of the temple mountain, the path become a bridge over a canyon that hides a river of lava at it's bottom. Once you cross, twin rivers of lava border the path the entire way up to the temple.

Residential District

A fairly decent sized area on the east side of the temple; this is the only open land the temple contains. Strange holes and odd colored stains cover the area; with decent room for walking between them. This area is quiet for most of the day; only in the early hours of the morning, just before and after the sun rises is the secret revealed. The odd holes are a type of geyser that belch fire and smoke when the sun first begins to warm them. This is a time for training or meditation among the fire benders that live and train here.

Market District

Designed more like a bathhouse then part of the temple; a special spring bubbles up between cracks in the rock and is channeled into a small pond. The water is heavy in sulphur and other beneficial minerals, as well as being extremely warm from the geothermal heating it undergoes before reaching the surface. Firebenders routinely test their heat resistance by meditating in the rolling waters. Outsiders and non-firebenders are warned to stay out of the waters; the extreme heat can cause serious burns with prolonged contact.

Azulon's Port

While slightly smaller than the Dragon's Smoke Field, the Kaui Ball is far more popular. Sand imported from the coasts fills the circular arena were the locals play for fun or in small tournaments. The best Kuai players from around the word will travel here to train and play in the yearly international tournament.

Great Gates of Azulon

The Great Gates of Azulon guard the sea entrance to the Fire Nation Capital. Built early in Fire Lord Azulon's reign, the gates are notable for having a large net guard the main entrance, which is ignited when used, as well as for the statues of Azulon and two dragons that carry the net
